Start Here: Curriculum Designers#
Welcome! If you design courses, quizzes, learning pathways, or educational content at Springpod, this page is your starting point. You're probably wondering things like "Can I use AI to generate quiz questions?" or "What if it hallucinates wrong answers?" — SpringBoard has answers for all of that.
This page won't teach you everything. It points you to the right pages in the right order.
Your Build Path#
Most curriculum tools (quiz generators, content formatters, resource organisers) fall into the Green path. Start here to confirm yours.
Take the Intake Quiz
Answer 5 questions to find your risk level and get your build path.
Green Build Guide
Most curriculum tools are Green path — follow this step-by-step guide.
Your First Build
Never used SpringBoard before? This walkthrough takes you through the whole process.
Standards That Apply to You#
Curriculum content has specific risks — hallucinated facts in educational material, safeguarding requirements for under-18s, and prompt reliability.
Safeguarding & Under-18s
Critical reading if your content reaches students. Covers age-appropriate AI use and data handling.
Quality Standards
Accuracy requirements for AI-generated content — especially important for educational material.
Prompt Management
How to test AI outputs for hallucinations and manage prompts that generate student-facing content.
Tools & Templates#
Pick the right tool, check what's already approved, and start your project with a proper brief.
Tooling Strategy
How to evaluate and pick the right AI tool for your use case.
Approved Tools
Tools that are already pre-approved for use at Springpod.
Project Brief Template
Fill this in before you start building — it takes 5 minutes and keeps you on track.
Common Scenarios#
This is typically a Green path project — internal tooling that helps you draft questions faster. However, you must test for hallucinated facts before using any AI-generated questions with students. Check the Prompt Management page for testing requirements, and always have a subject-matter expert review the output before it goes live.
If students interact with your tool directly, this is likely a Yellow path (or higher) due to the under-18 audience. Take the Intake Quiz to confirm, and read the Safeguarding & Under-18s standards before you start. Student-facing tools need additional review and safeguards.
See the Quality Standards page for accuracy checks and review workflows. The Prompt Management page covers AI testing techniques — including how to catch hallucinations, check for bias, and validate factual claims before content reaches students.
